Helena Andersson

Helena moved to New Zealand from Sweden in June 2000, after completing an MFA in Metal Design. Since then she has actively taken part in group shows around NZ. She had her first solo show in 2002, making work that combined her Swedish minimalist background with the Pacific influences that she has been exposed to living in Auckland.

Helena uses a range of materials in her jewellery – stone, bone, wood, shell, feathers and glass.

She now lives in Gisborne and is working at Studio 66.
