Vicki Mason

Vicki was born in Christchurch, and spent her early years living in rural New Zealand. She studied at university and art school, followed by time spent at Fluxus jewellery workshop in Dunedin. After establishing her own workshop space, she took up a year-long residency in Strasbourg, France.

Vicki now lives in Melbourne, where she has a workshop in the jewellery district.

Vicki says of her work “I aim to make work that is wearable, visually strong and that provokes in the wearer and viewer a need for response – for an interaction of some kind. I’m motivated to create work that retains it’s vitality and allows the possibility for long-term attachment that outlasts its novelty or newness.
