Zoya Beri

Zoya lives in Wellington. Of her work she says "I seek to achieve excellence in my work. My jewellery is a creative medium by which I express what I value and my social and environmental concerns. The materials I use reflect my desire for the cessation of the exploitation of natural resources and the creation of a national and global caring for the earth. My techniques celebrate the contribution of indigenous art to NZ with the aim of promoting and understanding a valuing of indigenous culture. For me, the making of jewellery is never static, but involves constant challenge."
